#tbt #ucab edificio 5,piso 2, #Caracas #Venezuela #1996 Ya han pasado 20 años y recuerdo nítidamente las conversaciones en el cafetín...mis amigos y yo soñábamos con terminar la carrera,irnos a especializar afuera y regresar a Venezuela a aplicar los conocimientos.Nunca nadie hablaba de quedarse en el extranjero.El sueño era lograr la mejor beca,aprovecharla al máximo,ver mundo y volver a hacer un mejor país.Hoy son muy pocos mis amigos de la promoción de #1999 que están aún en Venezuela. Una de las generaciones más preparadas de nuestra historia... haciendo mejor otros países. Podría darme alegría tener amigos en todas partes,pero no hay nada alegre en el destierro. Nobody ever talked about staying abroad.The dream was always to work hard to get the best scholarship, make the most of it, see the world and go back to Venezuela to make it a better country. Today very few of my friends from the class of #1999 are still living in Venezuela. One of the most prepared and cultivated generations of our history...making other countries better.
