"A Cyclist's Ode To BBQ"
A ride on Babe in the rain
Is well worth the cold, wet pain
If it allows me some pulled pork
Or other delicious BBQ meats that fall of the fork.
A mile or two more of yelling my name toward the thundering skies
And then maybe I can indulge in a few chicken thighs!
Or if I hit one more hill and give it my all on the climb
Then I can justify a side of Mac and Cheese and this silly rhyme.
Collard Greens, Cowboy Beans, Cornbread and more
I recite in my head as my quivering thighs get sore.
I will pedal swiftly with these images in my head
And hopefully soon, with sweet BBQ, I will be fed.
