Playing at home has its perks, and Milwaukee Sting 18 Gold has that luxury as one of the "host" teams in this weekend's inaugural USA Volleyball Girls' 18s Junior National Championships being held in @badgervb of USA Volleyball. The squad even took a moment to “meet” Matt Anderson up close. Speaking for her team, Quinn Spieker said: "We played here in a tournament about two months ago so we are kind of familiar with this facility. It is nice to have all the families come here and watch giving us a lot of support." After their first morning match victory over Webfoot Gold, Spieker said she and her Sting teammates are happy to be playing in this inaugural USA Volleyball event for 18s as opposed to playing in late June. "I really like having this tournament moved up from June. It is nice for those of us going to college right after high school. It kind of hit us this week in practice that while Nationals is right around the corner, we have to give it our all."
