Some recommended tools, left to right: Automatic Pen, Manuscript Italic Fountain Pen, Pilot Parallel Pen, Oblique Pen Holder and Nikko G Nib, Kuretake No. 13 Fountain Brush Pen, Ruling Pen, Pentel Brush Pen, Copic Wide. If you're on a budget I would recommend starting with a Pilot Parallel Pen (3.8mm or 6mm) and a Pentel Brush Pen.
