Diamonds and Pearls. One of my favorite dancers/Choreographers in the world has to be this woman right here...the incredible Lori Werner. She danced with Prince, Michael and Janet during the best time to be a dancer.
Lori remembered me at my first big audition for Beyoncé 2003. Just from that she gave me the opportunity to attend a private call for the revival of West Side Story. After the Tony Awards West Side had a Tony After Party and Prince showed up. Inside I was ? but I had to say to myself "Calmate Danielle". Everyone was being very groupieish around him forcing me to spend time at the bar drinking dirty martinis at the time .? One thing I can't do is crowd around a star... So later on Lori pulled me from where I was and said "I want Prince to meet you" ?????????? When I meet this man he's sitting down decked out, hair done, looking immaculate. By this time those martinis were totally taking over my time with Prince. I was loud and ughhhh....I mean just thinking about it has me annoyed with myself ?. While I'm meeting him and talking I see his decked out Kane and I'm like "OMG THIS IS SO HOT" and I take it from him. You know he gave me a look and slowly took it back....Hahahahahhahaha! I said mad Spanish "OMG IM SO SORRY, what a doofus I am , blah blah blah!" He laughs and said its ok and tried to give me back the cane. I said "Nope no thanks, I would never play myself again." It got more crowded and I got a little annoyed so I just wanted to leave before I did anything else retarded. Lori said to me days later that he was moved by me and would love to work with me one day. ???????? Well it never happened but just the thought of Prince taking a liking to me still has me on cloud 9.
Thank you Lori for introducing me to this King. Prince there will never be another that comes close to the talent or the person were.
