When I was 15, the greatest thing ever happened. My mom took me to see Prince! My mom! I couldn't believe it. I never wore dresses back then, but I made sure I did that night. I spent the latter half of the concert trying to keep distance between a drunk guy who was disrespecting by friend's disabled aunt who was in a wheelchair. I didn't think it was fair she couldn't enjoy the legend. At some point during the show, he popped his white suite jacket off on the beat, and underneath he was wearing a Sacramento Kings jersey. The crowd went insane. He gave that infamous smile, and kept singing. I cried out of pure joy multiple times that night. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. There's hardly been anyone more alive. He will stay alive in our hearts. Everyone has a Prince story. My ticket stub, a straw I excitedly chewed on, and the earring I wore that night. #wearsomethingpurple #prince ? Rest In Power
