This is a weird story to go along with a strange picture taken in Vancouver so essentially a #tbt / #Prince moment. I decided to bike everywhere all summer shooting the Oscar nominated film Good Luck Chuck. Stanley park every day before or after my scenes with a pre-billionaire @ジェシカ・アルバ.
I would always listen to Prince and I became obsessed with these bears artists designed all over town. I would play Prince and bike like a teenager doing tricks and weaving in and out of Canadian traffic. It was right around the time my dad was dying of cancer and I had to finish the movie between visiting George. Prince was my escape on a bike late into the night as I hunted giant colorful bears. I would always take a provocative pic. Sometimes (too much 411 coming) I would listen to Prince, tears in my eyes, thinking about my dad, think about my fans and dreams coming true all the while working through pain and loss.
Prince you cheered me up as I let the wind hit my face and dry the tears, faster and faster I would peddle listening to every song he wrote.
Life is so short and sometimes unusually shorter for people we love and respect. I got to meet him a couple of times and I was always wanting to share this story but was too busy being in awe.
