The @スター・ウォーズ pic of the day is this one with @emilykeenermusic because I have been thinking a lot about what happened on Tuesday. It's a weird situation to be in, and it's a really unfortunate part of this process that people leave the show every week. To me it has nothing to do with talent at all. We've all come so far that going home now isn't any reflection on how amazing somebody is, because everyone is equally talented and equally powerful in their own unique way. Emily starts singing and all of a sudden you're in the middle of the story she's telling, which I think is a really rare and magical quality. Since I overheard her blind audition from backstage I've been in awe of her voice, and I have been equally in awe of her songwriting skills ever since I first heard one of her originals. I cannot wait to hear the next thing she puts out into the world.
