What? YES, there is a way to care for the environment and support the arts at the same time. It’s called @materialsforthearts.
By saving approximately 1.5 million pounds of materials fashion designers were going to discard last year, Materials for the Arts offset CO2 emissions equivalent to 553,500 trees, which is 25x the amount of trees in Central Park, AND provided students with free material.
I'm teaming up with @NYCulture at Materials for the Arts on April 22 at 8:30am to celebrate creative reuse and environmental sustainability. And I want to see you there!!!
