In this week's edition of Orlando's Obsessions, @mrorlandosoria talks GOLD (gold decor but like also everything he says is literal pure gold too). To sum it up: "What is GOLD FEVER, you ask? Well, to make a short story long, I’ll tell you. Basically, in 1849, a group of dudes was like “Oh my god you guys, there’s so much gold in California! Let’s totally go there!” And then like 300,000 prospectors came to California, on ships and in wagons, wearing pioneer man costumes. At first they were like “OH MY GOD THERE’S LITERALLY GOLD NUGGETS EVERYWHERE!” But then they were all “OMG who stole all the nuggets?! There’s nothing left for me.” (Insert cry-me-a-river emoji… ‘cept there were no emojis in 1849. I guess you could draw a sad face on parchment and post it in the town square or something.)
