It’s been a wild first day of racing out here at a very, very rainy @FIAWorldRX Portugal in Montalegre. These are some of the most treacherous conditions I’ve ever driven in! The Ford Focus RS RX felt good today during practice, and I was getting to grips with both the car and a track that I’ve never driven before. I was leading my Qualifying 1 race, but then a software glitch caused my car to be stuck at 100% throttle as I was trying to brake into a corner. Sooooo sketchy - I had to lock all four wheels which sent me off the track and into a bank. That REALLY sucked. Then in my Qualifying 2 race I was in the only group that ran in the wet, so my overall times are down right now. But every new racecar has teething issues, so we’ll work to keep improving it and do better here tomorrow. I only have 20 laps on this track so far and it’s a big challenge, but tomorrow is a new day! #FocusRSRX #FordRallyX
