9 years ago today my pop, George Francis "Franny" Cook / Cooko took the high road outta here after a bout with cancer. If you've followed me a while you know I always write tributes to my mom and dad. I will keep this short today.
This is a pic my dad sent to me after I took him on a surprise trip to Ireland to watch myself, Patrice O'Neal & @denisleary do a show together. He had the time of his life and so did I just being with him and spending great times.
He sent me the pic and wrote that on the back. He had a way with words and although this seems simple it goes deeper. It means more to me and that's for me to appreciate. Lots of bridges and rivers in life. Stay close to those that care and let go of excess and unnecessary.
I love you pops. I miss you and I hope you hear me when I talk to you today. See you soon! Well not "soon" but you know what I mean. Ha.
