I have known Annie for more than 20 years now through her work at a hotel in KL. She always smiles warmly when I visit.

Annie never married. She told me that she has to give full attention to her disabled brother, and needs to work hard to support him.

Her hard work and perseverance resulted in her being conferred the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) award few years ago.

Whenever I see her, I always joke, “Annie, you have the Pingat?!”. It was great to see you again, Annie!
