Every year I raise money for the Lexington hope center they give hope to Thousands of people year around.
The Lexington hope center provides food, shelter, and clothing to people who are homeless.
Recovery service for those who are Addicted
Health services for those who are sick
diagnosis and treatment for those who are mentally ill
Employment services for those who can work
Housing, childcare and Higher education opportunities for single parents, And so much more!
Working with a charity that helps homeless and addicts I constantly hear people questioning why we should do so? isn't society better off without them? It's so easy for us to be able to disconnect from them. to forget that their someone's child someone's mother someone's father, we like to forget that there's people that love and rely on this person even when they're not reliable or able to love. We like to think that if they just all went away and so would all of societies problems but the real problem is usually what lies underneath, problems like depression and abuse making it easy for almost anyone to slip in this kind of situation. I believe some people are born with more addict tendencies, but because were all connected and one it could really happen to anyone. We shouldn't be so harsh to a situation that is so common and that we do not always understand

Organizations like The Hope Center actually help you and your tax dollars and very economically affective.
This is the specific Organization goes even further by addressing the underlying cause of the addict or homeless helping them recover.
In the last few months 4 people in my hometown have overdosed, 12 people total between the surrounding counties.
Most of them were around my age people I went to school with, some had really bright futures even went to college and no one would ever think that they would ever go down this path now they're gone with no second chance.
This year my sister had work hard and lost 60 pounds but someone asked me if she lost all that weight because of drugs because where I come from it's easier to believe that she might be on heroin than to make healthy life choices.
