Villa 0-1 Bournemouth – HT: Steve Cook’s goal on the stroke of half time gave Bournemouth the edge in a very subdued first period. There was a let-off for Villa on five minutes when Brad Guzan got down to tip Lewis Grabban’s drive around the post. Dan Gosling also dragged a shot off target following a quick Bournemouth counter-attack. Villa’s best moment came when Idrissa Gana showed quick feet to skip past Simon Francis before cutting back to Kieran Richardson who fired over.
