I'm always asked on here about juicing. Is it good? is it bad? Do I do it? I am NOT qualified to suggest what people should or shouldn't eat. I can only say what I do & what I believe is best for me. However, I'd like to think the majority of us have the common sense to know that a diet full of fresh veg is better then one without. This is why I DO juice, EVERY MORNING WITH MY BREAKFAST BUT I NEVER REPLACE MY MEALS WITH JUICE OR SHAKES. EVER. Food is King & always will be. So I have my juice as well as my meal. The reason I do is because I would never be able to sit down and eat 2 whole beetroots, a cucumber, 3 celery sticks, 4 carrots, a chunk of ginger and an apple in one go. It just wouldn't happen. So I juice them, drink them and I know that they are in my system in 15 minutes. It wakes me up and makes me feel great knowing that along with my first meal of the day after being starved through the night I'm filling up on a shed load of vegetables! That's why I have a juice. I have it with 4 eggs & half an avocado. Yes Once a year I do like to go to a detox retreat which is just juice, soup & raw food. But it's also for me, about having 'me' time and doing the yoga, the mediation, reading, walking, relaxing and switching off. It's not to go and loose weight or starve or look for a quick fix. As lucky as I am to have my job it is at times (like most peoples) stressful. So I take the time to recuperate & rejuvenate and I always come back feeling great. There are so many lovey juices you can make to add up your veg intake. My niece & nephew used to love orange juice. (The carton stuff which has never even been an orange but instead a load of chemicals, sugars & numbers) one day I juiced 5 carrots, an apple and half a lemon and made them my own orange juice. They LOVED it! Sitting & watching them drink vegetables instead of the supermarket orange juice was amazing. I told them after you've just had 5 carrots to which they said "I didn't think I liked carrots" You do now kiddo! ? So, to those that ask. Yes I do juice, along with having food and I enjoy it but I would suggest you find what works for you & your family but always keep in mind your HEALTH.
