Hardcore geeked out at this White House conference on "Breaking Down Gender Stereotypes In Children's Media and Toys." Thought and industry leaders presented data about media and how even playing with toys that are deemed "for girls" or "for boys" affect children's perception of gender norms at a young age. Ultimately this can affect how children feel that they should attain their value and worth in addition to shaping the ways that they interact with the world. Felt very inspired by the brilliant minds in this room.
