House of the Day: A converted pencil factory by Vipp

A recent trip to Copenhagen inspired Andrew’s love of Scandinavian design, and this modern loft in the city’s Islands Brygge neighbourhood is an exceptional example of this pared-back style. Flooded with natural light, the lateral space has been completely transformed from what was once a pencil factory, by Morten Bo Jensen, the chief designer at Vipp. This clean aesthetic is accentuated by matt-white walls, and pale Dinesen floorboards, and salvaged Copenhagen street lamps give an industrial reminder to the building’s past.
