About the shot: This was the sort of view that just stops you dead in your tracks. Perched high above the floor of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, the deck at @angamasafari provides an unreal 180-degree panorama of 700 square miles of the Maasai Mara. Unspoilt, breathtaking savanna as far as the eye can see.
How the shot was captured: With such a vast landscape to capture, the GoPro #Hero4Black’s super wide angle lens was an awesome fit for this shot. I used single photo mode to line up the pleasing symmetry of the seating area and the 3-way mount camera grip to get a nice angle. Nothing will compare to actually sitting there in person, drinking in the serenity (and perhaps a potent Kenyan Dawa cocktail, too), but hopefully I managed to portray a slice of just how incredible this place is.
