Today I was dragging my heels a bit. I'm blessed to have deadlines to meet and purpose to challenge me and help me grow. And I'm still learning balance, time management and priorities (sometimes the deadline is not the priority but the interruption at hand is, and sometimes the other way around). And most importantly, above all of that, comes the priority of mama life. Needless to say, I have not had enough sleep and there aren't enough cups of coffee in front of me today. I can actually feel the bags under my tired eyes screaming, "What in the heck?! Give us sleep! Sleeeeeeeep!" But then in comes my son with his huge heart exclaiming, "Wow mommy!! You look so beeeautifwul!! You are shining!! Like a princess!!" Wow. Day shifted. Leave it to a five year old to bring in the sunshine and a new thought and inspire my heart to burst into a million diamonds. And once again it goes to show that nothing is more powerful than the eyes of a child's heart and a shift in perspective. Happy Friday indeed. I hope each of you encounter a delightful surprise this weekend that turns dust into diamonds too. ?✨
