had a little break on set, so I headed on over to @rowanblanchard's page for my daily dose of inspiration and life education (which if you're not following her, you should be she's an angel) and found myself a little fired up about some of the comments on her brilliantly put post from her new @interviewmag article. Please do not go on this mans page and send hate, because HE is not the problem. The problem is that a lot of people (not just men) think this way. And it is our responsibility to speak up when we hear someone perpetuate misinformation and what is now public and societal opinion. We can change this. But it is only with ACTIVE response that we will begin to see a shift. If you are a woman, or you love women (WHICH WE ALL SHOULD ?), PLEASE don't let things like this slip by you. Continue the conversation. WOMEN DESERVED TO FEEL SAFE, EQUAL AND EMPOWERED. It's just time, you guys. And to those of you saying: "you don't have to save the world, dove" THAT IS ALSO THE PROBLEM. If we don't take it upon ourselves to speak up as individuals, how can there ever change? That's like not voting because you don't think one person can make a difference. Think about a world where everyone did that. How's does that logic hold up? edit for all my man friends with good hearts: I had an amazing father and I have an amazing boyfriend, and a lot of my closest friends are men. You my peeps. I did not mean ANY disrespect by saying "thank you for representing the mind of a man." In the moment I meant it in reference to the comments on that post and what had been said earlier about men's brains/women's brains. I did not mean to generalize at all, I am sorry that I inadvertently did and if I hurt you! I love men, and there are SO MANY GOOD ONES out there who want nothing but the best for all women. This post is not about 'all men'. This is about PEOPLE (women too) who still perpetuate an archaic view point. I love ya, man friends ?
