This was taken last week in NYC after I shot with a spectacular team, & soon I can share the magic we created. I loved that I got to show off my natural hair & that the makeup was minimal.. It's a side of me I've been embracing more the past couple weeks because I'm so exhausted from growing a baby ? I haven't been as vocal about my pregnancy lately because I feel like people won't get it, & I haven't had the energy to correct or educate those who criticize me. I will say this, I have a whole new appreciation for my body this time around. I didn't know how strong I was, & that was I capable of so much. It's not the constant flying, photoshoots, etc.. although that takes a toll. It's the whispers & constant remarks about how I can't possibly have a healthy baby, when in fact not only am I healthy, so is the baby. Plus size women (& women in general) have been doing remarkable things with our bodies long before we had the media & skeptics telling us what we were & weren't capable of. (How did we possibly function before then?! ?) It's okay that I'm tired, that my energy is low, & that some days I do nothing, whether I'm pregnant or not. There's no shame in realizing when your body needs some love & rest, & to talk about it. Loving your body means caring for it in whatever way you know how ❤️ #effyourbeautystandards #babyhollidayontheway
