Due to a last minute photographer debacle, I was lucky enough to go to Anchorage, Alaska, with @erikellington and some of the other @deathwishskateboards homies. Erik was born-n-raised in the Anchorage area and this was his first time back in many years. It was a real trip seeing him go through complete sensory overload, overwhelmed with nostalgia from going to his childhood household, checking out the first rail he ever did, visiting his father’s grave on Father’s Day, and going to this spot he grew up skating as a kid. Erik was pretty gung ho about going back to this spot from his early life and hopefully getting a photo there, but we didn’t really know what to expect some 15 years later. The lot and bank were a lot rougher and they put in these chunky planters. Not much to wage with but Ellington made it work, finally reunited with his childhood spot. ?: @bartjones || #ShootAllSkaters
