"I like this part where both are looking in the mirror, since, to be really honest with myself, it is something I find challenging at times… My favorite book says “You’ll know the truth and the truth will set you free”, and to me, this is my interpretation of the song; an ode to freedom, where the only path is truth. We all have someone or something to blame for the darkness that poisons our lives, which of course can be true sometimes. But at some point, we have to quit victimizing ourselves, and, even if we think it can’t get any uglier, truth sets free… I did a lot of bad things in my life, and tried to hide the truth with a continent of lies, until I realized that if our image is more important than truth, we’ll always be prisoners in our hearts and minds and scared of what’s real!” - @jeff_enemy
