#LonelyPlanet writer and photographer, Phillip Tang (@mrtangtangtang), is currently on assignment in #Kāipng, #China. Located 140km southwest of Guǎngzhōu, it is home to one of the most arresting human-constructed attractions. Pictured is one of the Unesco-crowned diāolóu (碉楼), eccentric watchtowers featuring a fusion of Eastern and Western architectural styles.
