This is the Pee-wee Herman movie I've been waiting for since 1985. Endlessly creative and brilliant. Rare to see a movie that works this well for kids and adults, the references are for hardcore pee wee fans. And of course it's co-written by the great Paul Rust. Check it out on Netflix, it's a perfect companion piece to Tim Burton's film. Fun Fact: I can do a dead on Pee Wee impression.
