The magical places I witnessed, the food I experienced and the new friends I made.
So much Aloha in such a short time.

It was Jack London who said “In what other land save this one is the commonest form of greeting not 'Good day,' nor 'How d'ye do', but 'Love'? That greeting is 'Aloha': love, I love you, my love to you... It is a positive affirmation of the warmth of one's own heart-giving.”

The Aloha spirit is alive and well on the Islands, but you must give before you can receive. Respect the land and the people who call it home and you will get that back 10x.
I went into this assignment with that open heart willing to Let Hawai'i Happen...and from the warm glow of Kilauea at 3 am to the offshore spray while going right at Makaha, it happened.
