Today marks 10 years since I raced my first 400IM at a senior international competition - Commonwealth Games Melbourne 2006! It's amazing that 10 years have passed already, thinking about it a lot has happened since then!

In 2006 I came 4th in a time of 4:47.95 (0.82 from bronze)
In 2014 my winning time was 4:31.76
I was lucky to be in Melbourne racing, 8weeks before that race I was in hospital on a drip diagnosed with Pneumonia. I ended up looking 6kg which put me down at 45/46kg in weight! I worked with my dad to build my weight back up and to look after my body.
It's funny to think that I used to race in a normal costume, shows how much swimming technology has advanced nowadays! Being at the commonwealth games was my first experience living in a village and having the exposure to a high profile event. I loved it! It was this moment where I decided that this was what I wanted to do and this was where I wanted to be. Haven't looked back since ?

Wonder what the next 10 years will have in store!
