In 2011 I met Canadian comedian @lorianngibbs (A FEMALE COMEDIAN?!?) while doing a drop in at Yuk Yuks in Calgary. Since then she has been one of my best friends in life and in comedy. When I go to Calgary I always stay at her house because she has home cooked food, a real bed and we spend our days doing crafts, napping and watching TV- it's a suburban oasis. Oh, she also has kids, which is fine. Recently she underwent weight loss surgery and has dropped over 100 lbs, not just from the surgery but from her unwavering commitment to her health and nutrition. She didn't want to limit herself in life and she didn't want to limit her comedy and she did something about it. I loved her so much before and, even though there is less of her, I love her even more now. I'm so incredibly proud of her as a woman, comedian and friend.
