This was the message tonight on @ボルシア・ドルトムント's website, after their 2-0 win over Mainz. During the game, fans were informed that two fans had been taken ill. One was stabilized, but the other sadly died. At the end of the game, fans from both clubs sang a spine-tingling rendition of @リヴァプールFC's famous anthem: You'll Never Walk Alone.
Yesterday (top), fans at Darmstadt's Bundesliga game also paid a touching tribute to a 'superfan.' Johnny Heimes lost a long battle with Cancer, aged just 26. His fellow fans created this banner: "Johnny. You are no longer with us. But your values remain. We will keep fighting." Opposition fans from Augsburg also created their own banner, after Johnny's story was widely reported by German media.
We're sure tonight, that many fans around the world will join us, and have these fans in their thoughts. RIP.
