Wishing the Balinese a happy & peaceful 'Silent Day' which marks the 1st day of the Balinese New Year.. They have ceremonies leading up to this day (which may still be on my snap chat)
Today is called Nyepi Day and no activity is allowed at all ?? People are all to stop their routine activities, use no lights, television etc, and no travel or going outside! Basically Bali today is in a state of Silence for 24hours ... At first we were bummed that we would lose a day of adventure, but after witnessing last nights Pengrupukan ceremony & the calm and peaceful serenity of today.. We feel blessed to be here for it!
