I dedicate today to the incredible women I met in Basanta #nepal. These women are not only building the school for their kids but they committed to join an adult program. In few months they will know how to read and write, and will be able to write a new chapter for their community.
Today is a dedicated opportunity to call for greater equality.

But to all the women I know, one thing: Do not lose your kindness and softness because you have to fight harder. We are mothers, daughters, friends... We are caring and we have the mothering instinct. This is our strength! We are women. Let's embrace it! This is not a competition with men. It is about equality and our future as human beings.

62 million girls are denied an education all over the world.
Every year, an estimated 15 million girls under 18 are married worldwide, with little or no say in the matter.
4 out of 5 victims of human trafficking are girls.

Women prepare up to 90 percent of meals in households around the world, but women and girls may be the first to eat less.
Everyday 800 women die from preventable pregnancy-related causes.
Women account for more than 60 percent of the world’s illiterate.
1 in 3 women still experience physical or sexual violence mostly by an intimate partner.
