NEW POST for #iwd2016 'Solidarite Feminine' @zawadiiiii Thandie's relative from Harare wears her @bella_freud jumper with pride. It's International Women's Day today! The roots of IWD were born from women campaigning for a better life. Just after the turn of the century, in 1908, 15,000 women marched through the streets of NewYork to demand shorter hours, better pay and voting rights. The first IWD was observed in the US on 28 February 1909. In 1913 IWD officially moved to 8th March. ⚡️ photo by @jackiedixon100
