This is a very rare sighting of two Great Whites almost exact in size. There is a hierarchy in the shark world that is determined by both sex and size. Here since both sharks are so close in size they swim up next to each other to see who the larger/dominant one is and that is the shark who gets to eat the bait. It was wild because Mauricio Padillo a scientist out at Guadalupe for the last 10 years had just explained this behavior the night before on the boat and how rare it is to capture. In all the years I've spent photographing Great Whites this is the ONE and only time I've ever seen this happen!! I took a full sequence which is really cool to see it happen in action. With photography it couldn't be more true "RIGHT PlACE at the RIGHT TIME. Then of course you need to be ready and not miss the moment.
