About the shot – One of the really cool things about working at GoPro is the projects we all get to be a part of. In this case I was on a special project high up in the #EmpireStateBuilding shooting a 48-hour timelapse. #NYC at night is pretty magical but from this vantage point it is even more breathtaking. Since I was going to be up here late into the night I knew a Night Shot was going to come out great with the city lights.

How the shot was Captured: Shooting on my #HERO4Black in Night Lapse mode I set it up with the Shutter at 2 seconds , Interval Time Continuous, Protune ON ISO 200, GoPro Color, WB 3000K, Sharpness Low, EV Comp 0. I used the wall right behind me to keep the camera steady. A tip when shooting depending on the style of shot you are going for when shooting long exposure night or day lapse you are going to want to have the camera as steady as possible on a rigid mount or tripod to avoid unwanted motion blur in your images. Experimenting with various settings in different lighting scenarios will really help you get to know what settings you should use for the right type of shot.
