so like over 20 years ago (I think I was about three here) my family hosted a foreign exchange student from Russia. We always had people staying with us from all over the world, but Lena became really close with my family, ended up coming back to the states for college at my mom's alma mater, and married a guy from my dad's school crazily enough. I haven't seen her or her husband in like 10 years probably but they stopped by for lunch with me in DTLA while driving down the coast of California on their 15 anniversary trip. Pretty crazy to think about how much time flies. #flashbackfriday
