Central Singapore has a skyscraper limit of 280m due to the proximity of the airport. Over the last few decades three buildings in Singapore were built right up to the imposed limit. However in a bid to outdo it's rivals, One Raffles Place opened a roof top bar on their building. Therefore a 2m glass parapet had to be added as a safety measure for guests.
