Butters is on his way back into the vet's office. He isn't drinking or eating the vet is very worried. We are bringing him right now to get his antibiotic shot because he won't take it in pill form. They are also prescribing him more metacam (which is ibprofine for pets) . I asked her about the liquid mophine since some suggested maybe it would help his pain better, but since he already have some in his skin for him to slowly absorb over 4 days, the vet didn't want to over do it. If Butters continues not to eat or drink we will have to take him back to the vet's office tomorrow to keep him under observation. I am so worried, he looked energetic when he came out of the vet's office, but once he got home, he just won't stop whimpering. He won't even take his favorite treat. I don't know what to do. How do you care for someone you can't communicate with? I am so frustrated and worried. My poor baby has never been in this much pain. What have I done. ?
