I think the best thing to do is to constantly imagine your 80 year old self, sitting in a rocking chair looking back on your life. Think about all the opportunities you're presented with everyday, what would your 80 year old self want you to do?? Sometimes it should be more about what would make the best story rather than what makes the most sense, what society would have us do, or worse yet, what takes the least effort.
