In the UK, we don't really eat pancakes through the year. We save up our excitement for Shrove Tuesday also known as #PancakeDay! the day before the start of Lent. The classic topping is sugar with lemon juice (probably the main contributor to why we have such horrible teeth) although some indulge with Golden Syrup, also the height of gastronomic perfection ??
