Hello, spring? Charles G. Hogg — Chuck, to those closest him — didn’t see his shadow at the @statenislandzoo this morning. The photographer @bryanthomasphoto watched as the #groundhog predicted an early spring, making his bold prognostication amid the excitement of a crowd of onlookers. Chuck didn’t bite anyone this year, as he did in 2009 when he nibbled at @mikebloomberg, who was then New York City’s mayor. Nor were there any fumbles, like a 2014 fall from Mayor @billdeblasio’s hands — and subsequent death — that prompted allegations of a cover-up orchestrated by city officials. #groundhogday
