First of three races yesterday battling with the Aussie's!
Loved the different challenges that each race brought - from having to think quickly & adjust to the race situation, to having the lead & focusing on getting to the line as fast as possible.
Even though it was points over three races, to have it come down to the final race was exciting and to make a pass on the final straight against a very strong competitor was a great feeling!
I've enjoyed training so much over the summer, but the weekend of racing reminded me of my appreciation to race - to push and be pushed to the best of our abilities under pressure, regardless of result.
Massive thanks to the HP/BMX staff for their commitment/support/guidance/banter thus far & looking forward to battling these girls again at the first World Cup in Argentina in 52 days!
