Surf photographer Chris Burkard believes the colder the water, the better. He has traveled to the most secluded beaches in the world to find the toughest waves in the coldest places. It may sound unpleasant, but he finds peace in that discomfort -- and a huge rush when he catches a chilling, colossal wave.
