April 2013 back when I taught Zumba at THE Jackson State University. This was actually one of my first classes if not the first one lol. Majority of the people who came were my friends or other athletes on campus I knew ? 2 girls in this pic I actually played soccer with. I look at this picture and can't even believe the amount of people who come out to support me at my bootcamps now. I'm so humbled. I think a lot, I reflect a lot, I'm thankful for everything. I don't get to talk much about what I hold near and dear to my heart but I know what I'm trying to do with my life and how I want to contribute to those who support me. I was very much happy with the life I was living when I left school for good and moved to Michigan but...I always wanted more. I remember being scared of change. Scared of risk. Scared of losing what was so comfortable to me and I'm here to tell you if something frightens you, do it. I left everything I owned and moved to California Summer of 2014 and it was by far the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. I thank God for those who support me to the point where it brings tears to my eyes and I will never forget that you all are the ONLY reason I'm here. I'm far from where I want to ultimately be but I know with the love and support of you guys I can do anything. I think life is the most magical when you act on things that make you happy regardless if anyone understands or can see your vision...life is like a box of chocolates, you neva know what you're going to get honeyyyyyy. I hope you do what makes you happy #always
