I came across a post re: Oscar Issac from @ジーナ・ロドリゲス yesterday and I must say Gina, this part really spoke to me. I am proud of your accomplishments, talent and recognition which is why I found your post so refreshing. Your better understanding of our industry is inspiring today. So, I wanted to take this time and thank you for changing your stance on this by recognizing how important it is to support each other as Latino actors in this community. I feel that now, when prompted to fall into a media trap by being asked about your involvement or lack thereof on #DeviousMaids , you will choose to pass on the question as to not evoke any unneeded negative attention for our show. The media will continue to try to pit us against each other. It is great to know this is something you will no longer support. Devious Maids is on its 4th Season on Lifetime, and I am proud to be a part of a show that showcases four strong Latina actresses as leads. In an industry that lacks opportunity, we aren't in any position to turn down a chance to share our ability to be funny/dramatic etc. in shows created to highlight Latino Actors. As you stated, it is imperative to support each other in the numbers. Whether we agree, like it or dislike it, we should stand united. Let's not just preach change and support. Let's be active members of it. I look forward to more of these as part of this Latino #MovementMondays because UNITED we stand to be more powerful than DIVIDED.
Ps. Oscar Issac's performance was phenomenal in that film!
