... Last week I listened to Jaz from @theworldwidetribe at #powerofstorytelling about how @Instagram is proving to be such an amazing tool in being able to help her tell the honest stories about the terrible refugees crisis, particularly in the Calais and Dunkirk camps at the moment.
One of the projects she is working with is @knitaid which is basically utilising the knitting skills of as many people as possible to help keep the refugees warm at this bitter time of year...these are traumatised children as well as men and women who have all risked their lives to escape horrific persecution...
Most of the time I feel helpless in these situations, but being able to share this and knitting something to keep someone who has nothing warm, and also alive to the idea that people care has to be worth it...
