If you're not already aware please follow @gurlstalk my inspiring, talented, intelligent (oh and unbelievably beautiful) friend Adwoa Aboahs brilliant organisation...GURLS TALK. ADWOA: I think what inspired me was the women who came into my life when I needed them the most — the women who actually saved my life. With Gurls Talk I want to create a space wherein girls can have honest conversations about everything. It will be a weekly program to educate girls on mental health and addiction and eating disorders, but instead of it being a lecture coming from a teacher or a woman twice their age, I want it to be from women these girls can relate to, women who are speaking from experience.
Women and girls inspire me. They drive me. There is something about getting a group of women together that is — without sounding cheesy — f*cking magical. THIS IS ME, BARING MY TRUTH AND OPENING MY MOUTH. I HOPE BY ME DOING THIS OTHER GURLS AND WOMEN WILL FEEL LESS ALONE IN THIER SADNESS, ADDICTION, DEPRESSION...WHATEVER IT IS THAT'S MAKING YOU FEEL LIKE LIFE IS'NT WORTH LIVING FOR ANYMORE.. #letsgetgurlstalking #gurlstalk
