The beautiful woman with the purple scarf on the right is my Nepalese / Tharu Mama, her name is Bal Kumari. The beautiful one on the left is my sister, Sapana. Their faces are printed in my mind, soul and heart. Mama opened her house and her heart in such a way that she helped me open mine as well. She didn't speak a word of English and was mostly silent but her eyes said everything I secretly always wanted to hear. I felt this huge wave of love and affection every time she stared at me. I cried a lot when I looked at her. I tried to explain her those tears were tears of joy and it was the way my body found to express what was going on inside. The last night we had a long hug, she told me her eyes weren't crying but the tears were "falling inside". I didn't know I could love another human being ( that lets face it, I clearly didn't know and will never see again) in such a beautiful, quiet and peaceful way. I had a glance of what is unconditional love and what it really means. This woman carries the beauty of humanity in her eyes... So if you have a few seconds please do look at her... And remember somewhere in Nepal a beautiful woman who had nothing gave everything... Her soul, her love...
