Believed to have lived somewhere between the sixth and fourth century BCE, the Buddha's enlightened teachings became the foundation of what is now the 5th largest religion in the world. Though extremely complex, his teachings primarily revolved around the achievement of Nirvana by following the eightfold path and undergoing a series of births and rebirths. The Buddha is believed to have lived most of his life on the Indian subcontinent, however today there are practitioners around the world with the largest population residing in China. #Buddhism #temple #beautiful #religion
