@Regrann from @laoncloud9 - Pookie is homeless and was living with her mom in south Los Angeles, in a tent on the street. During our Street outreach last week, we discovered mom in poor health, called 9-1-1 and ambulance rushed her to the hospital.
To mom's horror, she returns home to find all Pookie's toes on one paw and leg broken, in multiple places! Intentionally injured by an unknown, evil person! Mom quickly reached out to us and Pookie is now at Primary Care Animal hospital awaiting surgery on Thursday.
We are looking for an immediate foster to help her recover following surgery, in a safe place and a rescue to find her a permanent home. Please share to help Pookie! She is a loving dog that has been bred a few times in the past, but will soon be spayed while at the vet.
